Terms of Service
Effective date: May 8, 2025
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of https://scoopsupsandiego.com and your purchase of dog waste removal services from Scoops Up San Diego ("we," "us," or "our"). By booking or using our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.
1. Services
Scoops Up San Diego provides professional dog waste removal services in the San Diego area, including weekly recurring service, bi-weekly recurring service, and one-time cleanup visits. Service details, pricing, and availability are described on our website and confirmed at the time of booking.
2. Booking & Scheduling
Services are booked through our online booking system (Jobber) or by contacting us directly. Once a booking is confirmed, you will receive a confirmation via text or email with your scheduled service day. We reserve the right to adjust scheduling due to weather, holidays, or other circumstances beyond our control, and will notify you as soon as possible in such cases.
3. Payment
- Payment is due at the time of service or as invoiced through our billing system.
- We accept major credit cards and other payment methods listed at checkout.
- Recurring service customers will be billed on a per-visit or weekly basis as agreed at signup.
- Invoices not paid within 14 days of the due date may result in suspension of service until the balance is resolved.
- Prices are subject to change with 14 days' written notice to active customers.
4. Cancellations & Rescheduling
- You may cancel or reschedule a scheduled visit with at least 24 hours' notice at no charge.
- Cancellations with less than 24 hours' notice may be charged a cancellation fee equal to the cost of the scheduled visit.
- To cancel recurring service, please provide at least 7 days' notice before your next scheduled visit.
- We reserve the right to cancel service if access to the property cannot be obtained after a reasonable attempt, in which case the full service fee may still apply.
5. No Long-Term Contracts
We do not require long-term contracts. Recurring service continues on a rolling basis until either party cancels in accordance with the cancellation policy above. You are free to pause or discontinue service at any time with proper notice.
6. Property Access
You are responsible for ensuring that our technician has safe and unobstructed access to your yard on your scheduled service day. This includes:
- Providing gate codes or unlocking gates prior to your scheduled visit.
- Ensuring dogs are secured indoors or in a separate area of the yard during service.
- Keeping the yard free of hazards that could impede service.
If access cannot be obtained, we will attempt to contact you. If the issue is not resolved, the visit may be skipped and the service fee may still apply.
7. Waste Disposal
All collected dog waste is double-bagged and disposed of in your household trash receptacle during each visit. We do not transport waste off your property. Please ensure your trash can is accessible on service days.
8. Limitation of Liability
Scoops Up San Diego is not liable for any pre-existing damage to your property, landscaping, or fencing. We will take reasonable care while on your property, but we are not responsible for damage caused by conditions beyond our control (e.g., aggressive animals, unstable structures, or hidden hazards).
Our total liability to you for any claim arising out of or related to our services shall not exceed the amount paid for the specific service visit giving rise to the claim.
9. Satisfaction Guarantee
If you are not satisfied with a completed service visit, please contact us within 24 hours and we will return to re-service your yard at no additional charge. This guarantee applies to one re-service per visit and does not apply to areas that were inaccessible during the original visit.
10. Conduct & Right to Refuse Service
We reserve the right to refuse or discontinue service to any customer at our discretion, including in cases of unsafe property conditions, aggressive animals, abusive behavior toward our staff, or non-payment.
11. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in San Diego County, California.
12. Changes to These Terms
We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with a revised effective date. Continued use of our services after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
